If left unopened, they can be kept up to about 30 days in the freezer or 2 days in the refrigerator.

  • Defrost the snow crab slowly in the refrigerator for about a day, keeping the shell upsidedown. This will help keeping the cells intact and you will be able to enjoy the crab to the fullest.
  • If you are in rush, place the crab in a plastic bag and soak it in lukewarm water to thaw it out.
  • If you wish to serve it warm, place the crab in a steamer after thawing. This will bring out the aroma and the sweetness of the crab. Steaming the crab for too long or re-boiling will result in the loss of the flavour and the aroma.
